12.1. Additional bulks.
While the head is vibrating, and according to the necessary strain with regards
th the diametre of the trunk being shaked, the hydraulic circuit has been designed so
as to send an extra-pressure to the cylinder that opens/closes, linking it to the
vibrating circuit through a choke device and a check valve. On one hand, this design
allows the harvester to be more efficient, and on the other it prevents the head from
opening while vibrating, which could damage the bark of trunks.
Should you need a stronger vibration, the head has been designed so that you
can increase the number of bulks without having to change them. Excentrical bulks
(that are driven by hydraulic engines) have threaded holes so that you can fix
additional ones.
If you need to have more amplitude in the vibrations, we recommend you to
add first one bulk because if you put more than you need, it will not benefit nor the
harvester nor the trees.
THE ENGINE OF THE TRACTOR IS STOPPED AND THE CONTACT KEYS
HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE DASHBOARD OF THE TRACTOR!
So, if you have to add sheets, you will have to do as follows:
1) Switch off the tractor’s engine and remove the contact keys from its dashboard.
You must wear safety gloves and safety boots.
Maintainance operations are not free of hazards and accident risks.
