Retighten the adjuster nut.

To Bleed Oil Lines
All oil lines should be full of oil. If required, bleed
the main oil line (between tank and pump) by loos-
ening the bleeder screw until all air has escaped
from the line.
Make sure the tank is sufficiently filled.
Check the small oil lines (between pump and in-
take manifold). If required, fill the lines by running
the engine at idle speed while holding the pump
lever in fully open position.

NOTE:
Main oil line must be full of oil. See bleed-
ing procedure above.
Lift rear of vehicle and support with a mechanical
stand. Unbolt banjo fittings from pump. Start en-
gine and stop it as soon as it fires.
Check that oil level in small oil lines is passed ban-
jo fittings end by about 25 mm (1 in) (this will be
indicated by a clear section of small oil lines of
about 25 mm (1 in)). Repeat the procedure until
this condition is attained.

CAUTION
Proper oil injection pump adjustment is very
important. Any delay in the opening of the
pump can result in serious engine damage.

mechanism. Secure the rear of the vehicle
on a stand.
