Purpose:
Achieving optimum valve operation.
Description:
If the setpoint falls below the value for the lower tight closing limit
or exceeds the value for the upper tight closing limit, the valve is
moved into the valve seat with the maximum actuator force.
The tight closing function is activated on one end or for both end
positions. Make sure that the valve is not damaged when utilizing
the tight closing function. The values for the lower and upper tight
closing limits are factory-set.
The pre-set values can be changed with the following two
parameters:
"2.1.4 Upper tight closing limit" (Page 73)
"2.1.3 Lower tight closing limit" (Page 72)
"3.6.5 Number of strokes"
This menu is used to make settings regarding the monitoring of the travel integral. The total
distance travelled by the final control element of a linear actuator is monitored on a
continuous basis, and the movements of the actuator are detected in 100 %-strokes.
With this parameter activated, the movements of the actuator are counted and monitored in
100% strokes. A 100% stroke corresponds to the complete one-time travel distance, e.g.
from UP→DOWN or DOWN→UP. Partial stroke sections are summed up. Once 100% is
reached, the sum corresponds to a 100% stroke. Check whether the "Basic limit value" and
the "Factors" apply to your application.
The current value is displayed in "3.4.1 Number of strokes" (Page 92). If one of the three
parameterizable thresholds exceeds this value during the test, a maintenance message is
output by the device.
