Error message
Causes/Corrective actions
Check the magnet
clamp
Sensor fault. Cause: Magnet clamp is incorrectly installed or is missing.
Install the magnet clamp or correct the position of the magnet clamp immediately. Note
the installation tolerances.
The error message disappears when the magnet clamp is correctly installed on the
actuator.
Check the magnet
clamp
Magnet clamp outside of tolerance range Possible cause: Magnet clamp is not installed
with the specified tolerances.
Maintenance alarm. Correct the position of the magnet clamp promptly.
Check the
pneumatics
A malfunction in the pneumatic block has been detected.
Possible cause: Defect in the pneumatic block.
Send the device to the repair center.
Check compressed
air
A malfunction in the pneumatic block has been detected. Possible cause: Missing
compressed air supply or supply pressure too low.
Ensure a correct compressed air supply immediately.
Input current
< 3.8 mA
< 3.8 mA - Input current too low.
Check the current source immediately. The nominal current range is from 4 to 20 mA.
Input current
> 20.5 mA
> 20.5 mA - Input current too high.
Check the current source immediately. Check whether the device is connected to an
incorrect supply. The nominal current range is from 4 to 20 mA.
Alarm limit A1
exceeded
Alarm limit A2
exceeded
Limit for Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 has been exceeded.
Possible causes:
The valve position exceeds the limit for Alarm 1 or Alarm 2.
Depending on the alarm function parameterization, Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 is activated
when this limit is exceeded or fallen below.
Check process conditions, valve and supply air pressure.
DI 1 active
DI 2 active
Activated digital inputs take precedence over automatic mode.
Not initialized
The positioner is not ready for operation (not initialized). Initialize the positioner;
otherwise, it will not function in automatic mode.
Manual mode
Device in manual mode rather than automatic mode Switch device to automatic mode
with .
Safety position DI 3 Safety position initiated by digital input DI 3.
Cause: Valve is in the safety position (upper or lower).
PST active
A partial stroke test is currently active.
PST reference
measurement
A partial stroke test reference measurement is currently active.
External Stop
The "Stop" function has been activated via Digital input DI 1 or DI 2. The control valve
no longer moves. To return to automatic mode, deactivate signal at DI 1 or DI 2.
External 0%
The "Move to 0%" function has been activated via Digital input DI 1 or DI 2. The control
valve moves to 0% position. To return to automatic mode, deactivate signal at digital
input 1 or digital input 2.
External 100%
The "Move to 100 %" function has been activated via Digital input DI 1 or DI 2. The
control valve moves to 100% position. To return to automatic mode, deactivate signal
at Digital input 1 or Digital input 2 .
