Level, space, and distance, have different reference points.
●
Sensor Mode resets Current Output Function to the same setting. To select a different
option, do so after Sensor Mode has been set.
●
Use caution when changing Current Output Function while the device is connected to a
HART network. Current Output Function controls the primary value and the loop current
for the device.
●
Current Output Function also affects the secondary, tertiary and quaternary variables in a
HART network.
●
To modify Current Output Function via SIMATIC PDM, open the menu Device – Select
Analog Output. For more detail, refer to Select analog output (Page 71).

Start of scale (4 mA setpoint) (2.6.2.)
Description
Sets the process level corresponding to the 4 mA value. 4 mA always defaults to
0, and Current Output Function determines whether this is a Level, Space, Dis-
tance, or Volume measurement. For an illustration, refer to Current output func-
tion (2.6.1.) (Page 104).

0.00 m (set to value corresponding to 0% as defined by Current Output Func-
