Fo o ds which have a high mo isture co ntent such as
mea t, fish, po ultry, veg eta b les, fruit, stews a nd
so ups can be prepared in yo ur micro wave witho ut
any difficulty. Fo o ds which have little mo isture,
such as platters o f fo o d, sho uld have the surface
mo istened prio r to heating o r co o king.
The amo unt o f liquid to be added to raw fo o ds,
which a re to b e b ra ised, sho uld b e reduced to
a b o ut two thirds o f the q ua ntity in the o rig ina l

The amo unt o f fat to be added can be reduced
co nsiderably. A small amo unt o f butter, margarine
o r o il is sufficient to flavo ur fo o d. Fo r this reaso n
