Troubleshooting
1) Card rejected
The card contains a different machine
number and does not fit to this ma-
chine.
The card contains a different customer
number and does not fit to this ma-
chine.
►
Use the cards delivered with the machine (with the
appropriate machine/customer numbers).
►
Erase the cards using the "Erase card" menu in
the "Chip card service" system parameters. Then
the cards can be used.
2) Wrong card
The inserted card is not the right card
for the procedure.

Insert the card needed for the procedure.
See "Basic operation"- "Chip cards" for further infor-
mation on using chip cards.
3) Write error
A card write attempt failed. The chip is
probably damaged.
►
Remove the faulty card and perform the proce-
dure with another card.
4) Not supported
The inserted card is not recognised by
the machine.
The following card types are valid and are supported:
•
SERVICE (Chip18/28)
•
CHEF
•
PROGRAM
•
MONEY A/B (Chip18/28)
•
MASTER
•
ROASTER

Check whether the card being used is one of the
cards listed above.
►
Use the cards delivered with the machine (with the
appropriate machine/customer numbers).
►
Replace the card reader.
See "Basic operation"- "Chip cards" for further infor-
mation on using chip cards.
5) No menu item
A PROGRAM card was inserted. How-
ever, an accounting system has not
been enabled. The card is not function-
al.
►
Select an accounting system.
See "Service technician menu" - "Accounting" - "Pay-
ment systems setup" on activating a payment system.
6) Registration error
A MASTER card could not be regis-
tered.
See "Service technician menu" - "System" - "Chip
card service" in the "Simulate PROGRAM card" menu
for further information
The MASTER card being registered is
faulty.
►
Remove the faulty card and perform the proce-
dure with another card.
The list of MASTER cards is full. A
maximum of 20 MASTER cards can be
registered.max. 20 MASTER Karten
registrierbar.
►
Delete the existing table of registered MASTER
cards.
All MASTER cards must be re-registered.
System display message

1) SYS_ERROR_1
Software version conflict between the
TouchIT and machine software.
This display message appears up to
version 5.24.
As of version 5.24, the "SYS_ER-
ROR_14" message appears.
See additional information in the "SYS-
_ERROR_14" display message.

menu for further information.
