Troubleshooting

Installing the touch screen software

The following steps must be performed after the touch screen is replaced. The newly installed
touch screen does not yet contain data and software. For more convenient operation, it is rec-
ommended that you connect a computer mouse via a USB hub.

CAUTION!

Risk of machine

damage!

A flash drive with incorrect formatting causes software problems.
Only use flash drives with the correct "Schaerer format".

Important: The machine must be switched off at the beginning of the procedure.

Insert the flash drive with the "Schaerer configuration" under the touch screen.

►

Now switch on the machine.



The window for selecting the machine appears.

►

Select SCATouchIT with one of the arrow fields (A).

►

Confirm the selection with field (B).



The message "Pocket CMD v6.00" appears on the touch screen and remains for sev-
eral sec.



Then the touch screen display changes to the "Install TouchIT" mode.

►

Select the [Install TouchIT bootloader] (C) field.



The "Install Bootloader" window opens.



Data are loaded from the flash drive.



The "SCA Touch v5.3x (13140).sca" window opens.

►

Select the [SCA Touch v5.3x (13140).sca] (D) field.



The "Unpack v.5.3x" window displaying the instruction to remove the flash drive opens.
