This user configured label has a 30-character limit and can be displayed on the
Operation
screen.
Show on Operation Screen
These points can be displayed on the
Operation
screen because they can be configured
to block an operation. (Default: No)
Require SCADA Acknowledgement
Because these inputs will typically represent some form of alarm condition, when a
SCADA acknowledgement is required, it will clear the alarm only if the
User-Defined
Input
setting has become inactive. (Default: No)
User-Defined Input n Status
This shows the
Active
or
Inactive
state of the
User-Defined Input
setting.
Clear Input n Button
When the
Yes
option is selected for the
Require SCADA Acknowledgement
setpoint, the
Active
state of the
User-Defined Input
setting will persist after the physical input has
become de-active until receipt of this button command or the corresponding control point.
User-Defined Input n On action
These functions are activated by a
User-Defined Input
setting change of state from the
Inactive
to
Active
state and are not locked to the
Active
state. For a command such
as the
Prohibit Restoration
command, the
DNP
control point can execute an
Enable
Restoration
command to cancel the
Prohibit Restoration
command. A subsequent
User-Defined Input
state change from the
Inactive to Active
state would then
re-execute the
Prohibit Restoration
command. (Range: Disable Automatic Operation,
Prohibit Restoration, Block Close Operations, Block Open and Close Operations, and
None; Default: None)
When User Input n Is On, Block Operation of
This setpoint selects the switch the
User-Defined Input
setting will block.
(Range: Switch 1, Switch 2, Switch 3, and All; Default: Switch n)

The “Real-Time Data” section of the LCD screen shows the state of the
User-Defined
Input
setting: “User Inputs: 1 2 3” on line one, and “State: 0 1 1” on line two.
When the
Yes
option is selected for the
Require SCADA Acknowledgement
setpoint,
the “User Command” section of the LCD screen includes an option to clear each of the
configured User-Defined Inputs. Press the ENTER button on the faceplate to run the
Clear User Input n
