8.10 | The Sdi STaTuS instrument
The SDI STATUS instrument is always displayed in window 3.
To set the focus on this instrument (indicated by a highlighted
frame around the window), simply press the INSTR key. With
the focus on window 3, the SDI STATUS functions are dis-
played in the Toolbar (window 1). The SDI channel status monitor (SDI STATUS) displays the
status bytes from the SDI data stream as plain text. In addition
to this it also displays a range of signal status information, in-
cluding Confidence, Lock, Coding, Parity and activity, which is
useful when you need to determine the word width or identify
defective bits in the data stream.
