SurroundMonitor 11900 Series
First function layer
•
Input Select
(First layer, button/key 1)
This function displays additional Toolbar layers (depending
on the selected mode) where you can select the input
signal sources. When you then select a channel the Tool-
bar will switch back directly to the
Function Select
mode
of the RTA. When you do not make a selection here but
press the
close
button you will get back to the previous
layer.
•
Surround modes
(1) All w/o LF: All channels mixed, without LF, if
selected in
RTa Settings
menu.
Otherwise
all
is displayed here on
the button and all channels inclu-
ding LF will be mixed and displayed
in the RTA.
(2) Single:
Opens an additional layer for selec-
tion of a single channel. When you
then select a channel the Toolbar
will switch back directly to the
Function Select
mode of the RTA.
When you do not make a selection
here but press the
close
button you
will get back to the previous layer.
(3) Front:
Sum of the front channels
(4) Rear:
Sum of the surround channels
(5) L/R:
Sum of L + R
(6) Close:
Closes this layer, if you want to go
back without a selection
•
Multi Channel modes
In Multi Channel mode the number of available but-
tons/keys and the labelling depends on the selected
channels or Stereo channel pairs. For groups with sin-
gle channels selected, each channel can be selected
(up to eight on two Toolbar layers). Both channels of
a Stereo channel pair are always displayed as pair on
one button.

2-Channel Stereo mode
(1) L:
Left channel L
(2) R:
Right channel R
(3) L+R:
Sum of L + R
(4) Close:
Closes this layer, if you want to go
back
without a selection
NOTE -
If the
RTa 1/6
was activated from the
cal
instrument, this button/key is labelled
Meter
. If you
then press this button/key, the display turns back to the
cal
instrument.
•
Display Hold
(First layer, button/key 2)
Selecting this function freezes the RTA display. A cursor
readout of all frequency bands is possible. The buttons/
keys
REF+
and
REF–
are disabled. This button/key has
toggle function – select again to turn off
Display Hold
.
•
< Cur and Cur >
(First layer, button/key 3 and button/key 5)
These functions move the cursor to the previous or next
frequency band in the RTA. You can also move the cursor
to the left and right by clicking and dragging with the opti-
onal mouse.
•
Cur Ref
(First layer, button/key 4)
Selecting this function sets the current layer of the selected
frequency band as the reference value. If you then set the
cursor on another band the difference between this band
and the reference value is shown in the cursor readout.
•
REF+ and REF–
(First layer, button/key 6 and button/key 7)
These functions enable you to shift the display’s reference
point for a clearer readout in the window. The RTA’s layer
display is always relative.
