Function Keys for Instrument Control
The 11900 series front panel features 7 numbered
function
keys that are used to select display modes, presets or instru-
ment functions. The numbers correspond to the buttons dis-
played in the window 1 Toolbar on the screen.
The assignment of function keys 1 to 7 depends on the cur-
rently selected instrument and operating mode. The currently
active functions are always displayed in the Toolbar shown on
the Remote Display 30010 or a generic VGA display. See
in-
struments (Display Modes) chapter for detailed descriptions
of the available functions.
Control Keys and Select Key
There are four more keys available in the Toolbar and on the
11900 and 30010 front panels that are positioned left/right
of the function keys.
•
MODE
Switches between
Function Select
(select
functions) and instrument Select (select instru-
ments) modes. After selecting an instrument, the
default mode will be
Function Select
.
• MORE Displays the next Toolbar function layer if additi-
onal functions are available. On the last available
layer, selecting
MORE
returns you back to the
first level. If there is only one layer available,
MORE is greyed out.

Menu
Menu access for configuration of system set-
tings.
•
inSTR
Means
instrument
and switches focus between
window 2 (
Program Meter
) and window 3
(current instrument). The function keys always
control the focused instrument, indicated by the
white frame around it.
While in the menu system, the control keys are used as cursor
keys.
The
red Select
keys on the 11900 and 30010 front panels
are used for accessing and selecting options in the menu as
well as confirming entries.
