6.1 | System Startup
Before you switch on the unit, please make sure that the
following connections are made according to your individual
installation needs:
• Analog and/or digital audio input signals
• External VGA display like RTW Remote Display 30010
(required for 11900 series)
• Optional USB mouse
• LAN/Ethernet (if required)
• Mains voltage
After switching the unit on, the normal startup sequence will
take about 50 seconds until the main screen is shown.
NOTE -
The first initial startup sequence after unpa-
cking the unit or after a software update may take considerab-
ly more time.
6 | First Use
We assume that you are starting your SurroundMonitor for the
first time. First, you should adapt the system to your individual
audio environment by editing some global settings. Next, con-
trolling the unit and handling the local settings and Presets
is demonstrated. Finally, some common settings of the menu
system ar shown. Detailed information about the parameters and some back-
ground information will be given in further sections inclu-
ded in the PDF version of the operating manual.
The controls mentioned in the following sections are loca-
ted on the front side of 11900 series and on the front side
of Remote Display 30010. Most of them can also be ac-
cessed with a mouse in the Toolbar displayed in the bottom
screen area.
