Replacing the Toner Cassette and
Cleaning Pad

Note

❒

When the Add Toner indicator
(

) starts to blink, the toner car-

tridge is almost empty. You will
make 100 more copies before you
have to change the toner cassette.

❒

When the Add Toner indicator
(

) remains lit, it is time to install

a new toner cassette.

Pull the front cover release lever
towards you and open the front
cover.

Note

❒

If you do not pull the lever, only
the operation panel will open.

Grasp the old toner cassette as
shown, and lift it out carefully.

Do not incinerate waste toner.
Toner dust may ignite suddenly
when exposed to an open flame.

Remove the old cleaning pad.

Install the cleaning pad a shown
in the illustration.
