31.4. TCP SETTINGS
TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) operating in customer-server mode enables communicating two
computers. Customer establishes connection on port specified by server. Follow procedure below to
set port for TCP.
Procedure:
1. Enter <
Communication> parameters.
2. Select: „
Tcp /
Port”; a <Port> window opens with on-screen keyboard.
3. Insert required port number and confirm by pressing
key.
32. PERIPHERALS
Peripherals menu is located in menu Parameters. Press Setup button or <Setup
> icon to open it
to see list of peripheral devices for cooperation with the balance.
32.1. COMPUTER
icon displayed in the upper bar of the main window signals active connection between a balance
and a computer. <
Computer> submenu enables configuring connection settings.
Procedure:
1. Press

2. Set the following parameters:

computer port:
available options: none, COM 1, COM 2, TCP

give address of balance connected to a computer

continuous transmission
available options: NO, YES
(printout format depends on printout template set in a
balance – see next parameter)

interval:
parameter allows for setting printout frequency for continuous transmission. Printout
frequency is set in seconds, with 0.1s accuracy. You can set frequency in a range
from 0.1 to 1000 seconds for continuous transmission activated using balance and
computer.

weighing printout template
it is possible to design an individual printout send to a computer using a dedicated
window with printout template. Principles on creating printouts are described in
section 30.19 of this user manual.

E2R System
E2R System performs supervision and control over all weighing processes carried
out using balance. On enabling the option, the processes carried out on some of the
databases are carried out only from the computer level (mode not available in
balance’s standard version).
Caution:
<
E2R System> can only be enabled by balance manufacturer or authorized personnel.To provide correct
cooperation with E2R System continuous transmission has to be activated.
