1-2 Hardware Features
The AMR Controller provides the following hardware features:
• Compact design for mounting in a Mobile Robot
The AMR Controller can be mounted with two types of brackets.
• Fanless cooling and a powerful CPU
The AMR Controller has passive cooling for the CPU which means no moving parts and less main-
tenance effort.
• LED indicators
LED indicators provide a clear indication of the operational status of the AMR Controller.
• DVI visual interface
The video interface for the AMR Controller is provided with a DVI connector for connection to a
monitor.
• 5 Ethernet ports 1Gb/s
Interface with multiple networks.
• Built-in I/O
Built-in I/O for UPS status and AMR Controller shutdown control are provided.
• 4 USB ports
2 USB2.0 ports and 2 USB3.0 ports are provided for connection to external USB devices such as
keyboards, memory sticks, or other peripheral hardware.
• Built-in SD Memory Card slot
An SD Memory Card slot is provided for removable memory.
• Built-in CFast Card slot
A CFast Card slot is provided as a removable storage device.
• WiFi and Bluetooth
The WiFi interface provides 2 RP-SMA connector for antennas or coax cables.
• 2 CAN interfaces
Serial buses for a CAN Network are provided on the CAN connnector and on the EXPANSION con-
nector.
• 5 RS232 interfaces
RS232 interfaces are provided on the COMM connector (1x) and on the EXPANSION connector
(4x).
• 3 RS422 interfaces
RS422 interfaces are provided on the COMM connector (1x) and on the EXPANSION connector
(2x).
• Safety I/O
4 24V DC inputs and 4 24V DC outputs to connect to a Safety PLC are provided on the PLC con-
nector.
• 24V outputs
4 24V DC outputs for general purpose use are provided on the EXPANSION connector.
• Optical and Analog Audio
1 Digital audio connector and 1 analog audio connector supported by a shared audio CODEC.
