I/O Allocations to CompoNet Master Unit
Section 5-3
Participation Status
of the SmartSlice I/O
Units
These status words show the participation status of the SmartSlice I/O Units
that connect to the CompoNet Communications Unit.
The system allocates eight words for the participation status. It makes no dif-
ference how many SmartSlice I/O Units are in the SmartSlice I/O Terminal.
Four words contain the Participating Flags and the other four words contain
the Withdrawn Flags.
The table below gives the meanings of the flags.
Note
(1) You must use the CX-Integrator to allocate words for the participation sta-
tus.
(2) The TS indicators on the SmartSlice I/O Units also show the status of the
communications and the status of the SmartSlice I/O Units.

Unit Maintenance Flag
OFF: Normal, ON: Error
(more than threshold)

13
Automatic Restore Monitor
Flag
OFF: The parameters were
restored. ON: Restore opera-
tion error
This flag turns ON when an error occurs in
the operation to automatically restore
parameters to the SmartSlice I/O Units.
14
CompoNet Communications
Unit Error Flag
OFF: Normal, ON: Error
This is an overview flag. It turns ON when
one of the flags in bits 0 to 4, 12, or 13 turns
ON.
15
I/O Refreshing Flag
OFF: I/O communications
stopped.
ON: I/O communications are
normal.
This flag is ON while I/O data communica-

(There are flags for 64 Slice I/O Units.)
Flag Meaning
Participating Flag
ON: The Unit is participating in communications (correctly
allocated in the CompoNet Master Unit).
OFF: The Unit has not joined communications. (If the Regis-
