poNet Communications Unit.

power supply 

Use these terminals to send 24-VDC power to the inter-
nal circuits of the CompoNet Communications Units 
and the SmartSlice I/O Units.

Terminals for I/O 
power supply   

Use these terminals to send 24-VDC power to the 
external I/O which connect to the SmartSlice I/O Units. 

7

Device label

This label shows the I/O memory area that the Unit 
uses. The Unit has an input area and an output area. 
The sizes of the areas change if the SmartSlice I/O Unit 
configuration changes.
