Other Error Causes and Error Procedures
Section 9-3
The NS indicator on the CompoNet Communi-
cations Unit flashes green and comes ON in
green again and again.
OR
The NS indicator on the CompoNet Communi-
cations Unit flashes red and green again and
again.
• If you are using an OMRON Master Unit, do a check of these items and
do the error procedure for the indicator status on the Master Unit.
Create the Registration Table again.
Clear the Registration Table, make sure that the Slaves are in the net-
work, and then create the Registration Table.
Make sure that you did not set the same I/O area for more than one
Slave. If two Slaves have the same I/O area, correct the node
addresses. Each node address can set only one time.
Make sure that the I/O area for the Slave is in the area permitted by the
Master Unit.
• When using a Master Unit from a different company, make sure that the
I/O size in the Registration Table in the Master Unit agrees with the I/O
size of the Slave.
You replaced an Analog Input Unit or Tempera-
ture Input Unit and the indicators are as below:
The TS indicator on the CompoNet Communi-
cations Unit is flashing red, the TS indicator on
the replaced Unit comes ON in red, the TS
indicator on the left adjacent Unit comes ON in
green, and the TS indicator on the right adja-
cent Unit does not come ON.
You created the Registration Table or backed up the parameters and then
replaced a standard SmartSlice I/O Unit with an Analog or Temperature
Input Unit. Or, you replaced an Analog or Temperature Input Unit with a
different model of Analog or Temperature Input Unit.
Replace the I/O Unit with a Unit with the same model number. After you
replace the Unit, reset the power supply.
You replaced an Analog Input Unit or Tempera-
ture Input Unit and the indicators are as below:
The TS indicator on the CompoNet Communi-
cations Unit comes ON in red, the TS indicator
on the replaced Unit comes ON in red, and the
TS indicators on the other Units flash red.
You created the Registration Table or backed up the parameters and then
replaced a SmartSlice I/O Unit (that is not an Analog or Temperature
Input Unit) with a Unit with a different model number.
Replace the I/O Unit with a Unit with the same model number. After you
replace the Unit, reset the power supply.
