Registration Table
Section 6-2
Turn ON pin 1 (REGS) on the DIP switch while the power to the SmartSlice
I/O Terminal is ON.
The CompoNet Communications Unit will read the I/O configuration informa-
tion and make a Registration Table.
The CompoNet Communications Unit will overwrite a previous Registration
Table with the new one.
• Contents of Registration Table
The Registration Table contains the number of SmartSlice I/O Units and
the I/O size for each Unit.
6-2-2
Verifying the Registration Table
The CompoNet Communications Unit will verify the Registration Table if the
power turns ON when pin 1 (REGS) on the CompoNet Communications Unit
is ON. The CompoNet Communications Unit automatically compares the
information in the Registration Table with the connected SmartSlice I/O Units.
The TS indicator on the CompoNet Communications Unit will flash in red if
there is one or more differences.
