Editing Parameters of SmartSlice I/O Units
Installed Units
Use this procedure to edit the parameters of installed Units. Installed Units are
those for which the Mount Check Box is selected in the I/O Module Tab Page
of the Configuration Window.
1.
Start the CX-Integrator.
2.
Double-click the icon of the CompoNet Communications Unit. (In the Main-
tenance Mode Window, right-click the icon and select
Parameter

Edit

The Configuration Window will show.

Click the
I/O Module
Tab.
4.
Select the Unit to edit the parameters and click the
Edit
Button.
The Configuration Window will be displayed for the selected Unit. Refer to
the
GRT1 Series SmartSlice I/O Units Operation Manual
(Cat. No. W455)
for information the parameters.
Note
An installed SmartSlice I/O Unit will return a normal response if you send an
explicit message directly to the Unit. The CX-Integrator is not required to do
this. Refer to the
GRT1 Series SmartSlice I/O Units Operation Manual
(Cat.
No. W455) for information on explicit messages.
Dummy Units
You can edit the parameters for Dummy Units with the same procedure as
installed Units. You will not be able to upload or download the parameters. You
can save the parameters in network configuration files in the CX-Configurator.
