Response Format
The format below is for normal responses to CompoNet explicit messages.
The format below is for error responses to CompoNet explicit messages.
(Communications error in CompoNet explicit messages cause these errors.)
The format below is for when the Unit cannot send the CompoNet explicit message or when there is a
timeout.
(FINS communications errors cause these problems.)
Descriptions of Parameters
• Destination Node Address (Command)
Specify the node address of the SmartSlice I/O Terminal to which to send the explicit message.
Specify 10xx hex as the destination node address for the CompoNet Communications Unit.
Here, xx is the node address of the CompoNet Communications Unit in hexadecimal.
• Service Code (Command and Response)
In the command, specify the service code defined by the CompoNet network.
Refer to Service Code Table, below, for more information.
The response contains the service code from the command with the leftmost bit turned ON. The service
code will be 0094 hex in an error response.

Specify the class ID of the explicit message.
• Instance ID (Command)
Specify the instance ID of the explicit message.
