CompoNet Explicit Messages
Appendix A
Meanings of Bits for SmartSlice I/O Units
Note
The specified errors for warnings and alarms are different for different SmartSlice I/O Units.
Refer to the
GRT1 Series SmartSlice I/O Units Operation Manual
(Cat. No. W455) for more information.
Application Example for Explicit Messages
Sending an Explicit Message with the CMND Instruction
Operation
This example reads the Unit maintenance present value from the SmartSlice I/O Terminal. The command uses
these values: Class ID: 95 hex, Instance ID: 01 hex, and Attribute ID: 71 hex.
The command code is 2802 hex (to send an explicit message).
The command data is in words starting from D01000 in the CPU Unit. The words starting from D02000 will
contain the response data.
