How to Use This Manual
Operation Procedures
In this manual, the following marks are used in the explanation of the operation procedures, cautions, notes, and related
functions.
Gloss Adjustment
1.
Press the
key.
P
If the power is not turned ON, see “Turning On
the Power” on p.2-2.
P
If the copier is in standby mode, press the
(Standby) key so that the screen shown at right
is displayed.
P
To adjust the copy exposure, press the
O
key
or the
P
key.

Press the GLOSS ADJUSTMENT key.
3.
Place the original on the platen glass.
Remove any paper clips from the original before
placing it on the platen glass. The copier can be
damaged by foreign objects falling inside of it.
Indicates that this is a note concerning operation or an explanation
of a related function.
Indicates the title of the topic being explained on this page.
Indicates a hard key on the right side of the control panel.
Indicates the title and page number of a reference item.
Indicates a step in the operation procedure.
Indicates a key on the left side of the Control panel.
Indicates options, etc., required in order to use this function. (Refer
to the explanation at the bottom of this page.)
Indicates a note either containing information you should be
aware of regarding the operation, or an explanation of
restrictions. Always read these items in order to operate the
copier properly.
Indicates a key shown on the
touch panel display.
Shows the touch panel
display screen.

Indicates a function that can be used when the copier is
equipped with the optional Feeder.
Indicates a function that can be used when the copier is
equipped with the optional ED board.
Indicates a function that can be used when the copier is
equipped with the optional Editor.
