2. Press the FRAMING key or the BLANKING key and then press
the OK key.
FRAMING :
Scans only the region inside the designated area.
BLANKING :
Scans the original, blanking the region inside the
area.
3. Use the edit pen to designate two of the opposing corners of the
area.

Adjusting the scan
1. Press the SCAN ADJUSTMENT key.
2. Press the
O
key or the
P
key to adjust the image quality. Then,
press the OK key.

Place the black-and-white character original on the
platen glass.
Align the original with the V mark on the platen glass. If an area was
designated, be careful not to change the top-bottom orientation of the
original when turning it face down.
