N
Designating free-hand areas
Use the edit pen to trace the free-hand area being designated. The area
designation ends when the edit pen breaks contact with the Editor.
P
When designating a free-hand area or an area
by tracing, points are counted automatically. Areas
requiring 4,000 or more points can not be
recognized. Once 4,000 points have been counted
for an area, that area is no longer recognized.
P
When drawing areas, the starting point and
ending point should be the same point.
N
Designating an area by tracing
Trace a line with the edit pen on the Editor to have that line recognized
as an area.
P
The trace width can be changed as desired
between 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm. (See
p. 7-4 in the Basic Operations Manual.)
N
Designating an enclosed area
Press the edit pen on one point inside the enclosed area.
P
When using Coloring, designate a point inside
the enclosed area. If you designate a point on the
line of the enclosed area, Coloring may not be
performed properly.
There are two types of enclosed areas: DESIG. AREA and
ENTIRE ENCLOSED . After pressing the OK key, select the type of
enclosed area.
DESIG. AREA :
When there is a second border within the first
border, the area that is recognized as the
designated area excludes the area inside the
innermost border.
k
(The “x ” indicates the point designated with the
edit pen.)
ENTIRE ENCLOSED :
The entire area within the outer border is
recognized as the designated area.
k
(The “x ” indicates the point designated with the
edit pen.)
P
When designating an enclosed area, make sure
that the border of the image is not broken. Note that
even the borders of originals that are not broken
may become so if the image overlaps the border
when it is enlarged.
