3. Remove the screws (4) fixing the battery cover and remove the battery cover.
4. If you are replacing the battery, pull the battery removal
support directly upward and lift the battery from the
battery storage area.
5. Insert the new battery into the battery storage area from
the top directly downward to make the connectors contact
with each other.
Install the battery with the battery removal support pulled out.
6. Put the battery cover on the original position and replace the screws (4) to fix the cover.
Make sure the battery removal support is not pinched when replacing the cover.
If dust and/or dirt adhere to the silicon rubber on rear of the cover, the water-proof and/and dust-proof
performance of the cover may be compromised. Wipe the silicon rubber to remove dust and dirt before
installing the cover.

Charging Battery
WARNING
There is a risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect model.
Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions. See “5.5.5 Recycling Batteries”
If the battery temperature exceeds 60ºC it will lose its charge.
Remove the AC adapter only after the battery is fully charged.
To charge the battery, first connect the AC adapter to ShieldPRO and then to a power outlet. The
battery charge LED on ShieldPRO illuminates in orange to indicate that the battery is now being
