Do not press the power switch for four seconds or longer to suspend (standby) or resume ShieldPRO.
Pressing the power switch for four seconds or longer forces the power to be immediately shut off, which
results in erasing of unsaved data.
(2) Opening/closing the LCD display panel
Entering ShieldPRO into suspend (standby) state
1. Close the LCD display panel in the power-on state.
2. The power lamp blinks green and ShieldPRO enters into suspend (standby) state.
Resuming ShieldPRO (recovering ShieldPRO from suspend (standby) state)
1. Open the LCD display panel in suspend (standby) state.
2. Press the power button (or power button plus power lock button).
3. The power lamp becomes solid green and ShieldPRO recovers from suspend (standby)
state (or resumes).
(3) No Activity timeout
The Control Panel settings can set ShieldPRO into suspend (standby) state if there is no activity for
a set period.
Click [Control Panel]
[Power Options] and change the [System standby] settings to the desired
values.
Entering ShieldPRO into suspend (standby) state
1. Leave ShieldPRO inactive for the timeout period.
2. The power lamp blinks green and ShieldPRO enters suspend (standby) state.
Resuming ShieldPRO (recovering ShieldPRO from suspend (standby) state)
1. Press the power button (or power button plus power lock button).
2. The power lamp becomes solid green and ShieldPRO recovers from suspend (standby)
state (or resumes).
Warnings when using suspend (standby) operation
Failure to follow these instructions may cause working data to be lost when entering ShieldPRO
into suspend (standby) state.
Data loss
If any of the following events occur in suspend (standby) state, working data when entering
ShieldPRO into suspend (standby) state is lost:
The battery is fully discharged while ShieldPRO is operated by battery only,
ShieldPRO is using battery power only due to power interruption or disconnection of the AC
adapter and the remaining battery level is not enough, or
The power is turned off forcibly by pressing the power switch for four seconds or longer.
