Action
If you get no response from pressing the
power button lightly, try pressing the
button more firmly for several seconds.
If the AC adapter is connected to
ShieldPRO, disconnect the adapter and
connect it again.
If battery power is used, check the
remaining battery level and the
installation of the battery in ShieldPRO.
For checking procedures, see "5.5.4
Checking Remaining Battery Level" and
"5.5.1 Installing and Replacing the
Battery".
When the power lamp illuminates in green:
Action
During operation, the power management
feature may clear the screen
automatically to conserve power. Press
any key to check if the screen display
appears.
The brightness of the screen may be too
low. Press
Fn
+
F7
to increase the
brightness.
Outputting display data to external
monitor may be set. Press
Fn
+
F3
to
alter the display setting.
Reboot ShieldPRO.
A resolution which the LCD display does
not support may be set. After turning off
the power of ShieldPRO, start Windows in
the safe mode to reset the resolution.

ShieldPRO is halted after POST (Power On
Self Test).
Action
If an error code appears on the display screen,
write down the code and reboot ShieldPRO.

Message "Operating system not found"
appears.
Action
Confirm that no floppy disk is inserted into
the floppy disk drive (if the floppy disk
drive is connected to ShieldPRO). If there
is, remove the floppy disk and reboot
ShieldPRO.
If the message appears during booting
from the HDD, insert bootable disk into
the external 3.5-in. floppy disk drive or the
external CD-R/RW with DVD-ROM drive
to check the HDD status.
Confirm that the HDD is set on the Boot
Menu on the BIOS Setup Menu.
