Power States and Operations
5.3.1.1.
Power states
The power states of ShieldPRO are as follows:
power-off,
power-on,
suspend (standby), and
hibernate.
Power-off state
In the power-off state, ShieldPRO is completely shut down.
Power-on state
In the power-on state, ShieldPRO is in normal operation mode.
Suspend (standby) state
In suspend (standby) state, working data is temporarily saved in memory. Power consumption is
suppressed by suspending the hard disk drive and other devices, and changing the LCD display
into power saving state. The only power used is that needed to keep the computer's state and
working data in memory.
Because working data is saved in memory, ShieldPRO can immediately return to the original state
when the computer is returned from suspend (standby) state.
