
9-50 Upgrading Your Server
Installation
Install a CPU in the following procedure.
1.
See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.
2.
Remove the left side cover.
3.
Remove a setscrew from the duct cover, and remove the duct cover.
4.
Firmly hold the server with your both hands so that its left side faces upward, and bring it
down slowly and gently.
5.
Push the lever down to unlatch the socket from the hook, then slowly open the lever until
it stops.
