Swing its processor socket lever up until it is in the unlocked position and
carefully remove the processor. See Figure 4-17.

If you are not replacing a processor, then you must replace it with a
terminator in the empty socket. See

Reinstall the left-hand side access panel on the system chassis.

Plug in the system power cord(s) and power up the system.
