Exciter VCXO
You can calibrate the internal clock reference to an external 10 MHz clock (e.g. GPS synchronized
10 MHz clock), using the remote AUI.
NOTE
:
During calibration, the external 10 MHz clock should be connected to the EXT 10 MHz IN
(A1J4A) BNC connector on the rear of the transmitter. Disable the External 10MHz in the transmitter’s
settings before running a calibration. When this setting is enabled, it forces the exciter clock to
continually be disciplined by the External 10 MHz signal, preventing a one-time calibration.
To view the AUI’s Exciter VCXO screen (see Figure 2.2.29 ), select Exciter VCXO from the Settings menu.

The 10 MHz Delta Meter value is for display only and is not user adjustable.
Once the external 10 MHz clock reference is connected, the user can click the Start button to
automatically calibrate the internal VCXO to the external reference source.
The VCXO 10 MHz DAC Value can be adjusted for manual calibration without an external source. Click
the Save icon to apply the change.
