Audio Processing
NOTE
:
The Orban Audio Processor is an optional item.
This section describes how to configure and operate the Orban Audio Processor in your transmitter.
There are
27 factory Orban presets available. You can interface with audio processor functionality
locally, using the front panel UI or the remote AUI. The extent of the features available depends on
which interface is used.
Select an Orban audio processor preset using either the remote AUI (see Other Settings on page 2.2.43 )
or the front panel UI (see Orban Inside Present on page 2.2.124 ).
NOTE
:
This section contains frequent reference to Orban's Optimod-FM 5500 Digital Audio Processor
Operating Manual (see the link below). The equipment covered in the 5500 manual uses the same
Orban audio processor as in your transmitter. The 5500 manual provides detailed information on the
audio processor's functionality. If a discrepancy exists between the operational instructions in the
Orban manual and this document, the latter shall prevail as this document is specific to operation with

Orban Enabling - Using the Remote AUI
In the Settings -> Audio Processing page, select the desired Orban Preset by clicking the circle to the
left of the preset name. After confirming Yes in the Change Active Orban Preset window, a green
checkmark will indicate that the preset is enabled. See
Figure 2.2.27 on page 2.2.50 ).
If you edit an Orban factory preset and make a change, you have two options: Cancel or Save As. When
you choose Save As a dialog prompts you for a name for the new preset - the field is empty.
NOTE
:
You can only edit the active (green checkmarked) Orban preset. You cannot edit a preset when it
is not active.
