Auto-Bias Routine

To initiate the Auto-Bias Routine, select Auto-Bias Routine from the Settings -> Transmitter menu. See 

Figure 2.2.118

. Use the Front Panel rotary knob to confirm the start of the Auto-Bias Routine. Press 

Cancel to return to the previous menu. You must run the Auto-Bias Routine immediately after one of 
the following events:

•

installation of a new Power Amplifier (PA)

•

installation of a new Intermediate Power Amplifier (IPA)

•

installation of a new System Interface PWB

•

loss of configuration due to SD card or Exciter PWB replacement

 

NOTE

: 

The Auto-Bias Routine can take up to three (3) minutes to complete.

NOTE

: 

Make sure that the RF stage is disabled (RF off) and the interlock circuit is closed before running 

the Auto-Bias Routine. If not, a message will appear prompting you to do so. See 

Figure 2.2.119

.

NOTE

: 

The Auto-Bias routine will need to be run if a “Need to run Auto-Bias Routine” alarm appears on 

the FPUI or AUI.
