12.  Ensure that the cable from the solar panel is terminated using the three-pin connector provided in the 

XCi device and that the polarity is correct.  The polarity is labelled on the circuit board near the 

connector.

NOTE:  The XCi device should be installed before connecting the solar panel.

NOTE:  MACE highly recommends the use of Tri-spikes on the top of the solar 

panel to reduce accumulation of bird droppings on the front face of the solar 

panel.
