Assembly

Counterweight Installation

INSTALLATION FROM FRAME DECKING TO MAIN COUNTERWEIGHT

NOTE:

The counterweight slabs are an integral part of this crane. When the crane is to be traveled

at highway speeds, a portion of these slabs are intended to be moved to and carried on the

counterweight supports on the deck of the crane in order to equalize the axle loading.

1. Lower the outrigger jacks to support the weight of the crane.

2. Rotate the upper to a position straight over the rear of the crane.

3. With the crane still running, move to a position on the decking facing the counterweight RAISE /

LOWER switch item #1.

4. Insert the long horizontal pins and the locking pins into the top slab.

5. Remove the locking pins and long horizontal pins from the lower most slab that you wish to attach

to the counterweight.
