Brake System Maintenance

REAR BRAKES

Using a pressure gun, lubricate the brackets and slack adjusters. An application of lubricant should be

applied to the grease fittings each time (weekly) a general lubrication of chassis components is required.

Grease should be supplied to the bracket until it begins to squirt out around the camshaft adjacent to

the slack adjuster. The slack adjuster should be filled until grease becomes visible around the camshaft.

NOTE:

Camshaft brackets with metal plugs instead of grease fittings are fitted with special seals

and packed with extended lubrication interval chassis grease.
