for

to
free
up
buffer
space.
ifInErrors
For
packet
‐
oriented
interfaces,
the
number
of

contained
errors
preventing
them
from
being

higher

layer
protocol.
For
character
‐
oriented

fixed

length

the

transmission

protocols
