Drive and Brake Pedals
Replacing the Drive (Accelerator)
Pedal Assembly
1.
First, review “Before You Begin,” page 1-1 and See
Figure 3-15.
2.
Set the key switch to “OFF” and remove the key.
3.
Apply the parking brake, disconnect the battery and
block all wheels.
4.
Remove the driver’s compartment floor plate. See
“Floor Plate Removal” on page 3-16.
5.
Raise the floor panel as far as possible and
disconnect the accelerator cable connector from the
main harness.
6.
Remove the nuts holding the throttle (accelerator)
assembly.
7.
Recalibrate using the Dash Display. See Chapter 4
for throttle pot calibration.

Stop Pedal/Park Brake Assembly
Spring Applied Hydraulically Released
Brakes
The SAHR brakes are inherently self-adjusting.
No adjustments are necessary or
provided.
Stop Pedal
The stop pedal has about 1" maximum free-play before
the pressure is removed from the brake system causing
the brakes to lock-up.
The pedal also has a maximum travel range of up to only
2” (50.8 mm). Depressing the pedal the full distance
allows the operator to set the park brake using the latch
that is mounted on the pedal. See Figure 3-16 Setting
the park brake releases the fluid from the circuit to open
the normally closed brake pressure switch. Brake lights
are controlled through the vehicle controller based on
operator inputs.
