Troubleshooting
This following table indicates solutions for various CWA issues.
Issue
Solution
The analysis panel says
‘No Sync Src.’
The CWA Setup is incorrect. Verify that the Source, Noise Reject, and
Sync Offset are all valid.
The analysis panel says
‘Window > T.’
The single shot measurement was taken over a timescale that was
shorter than the CWA window. Increase the horizontal timescale and try
again.
The analysis panel says
‘Overload.'
The voltage signal or current signal (or both signals) associated with the
measurement source is overloading the system. Ensure that the signal
level and hardware ranges are set properly.
The analysis panel rapidly
switches between
‘Gathering’/’No Sync Src’
and valid measurements.
The Sync Offset and Noise Rejection is on the edge of being triggered
properly. Adjust the Sync Offset and Noise Rejection for the chosen
Sync Source.
The analysis panel says
‘Gathering’ for a long time.
Ensure that the CWA measurement window is set properly for your
application.
The message ‘Energy
Test Stopped, Lost CWA
sync Source' appears.
If the CWA Sync Source is ever lost during the Energy Analysis, the
energy test stops. Ensure the Sync Settings are set properly and that
the Sync Signal amplitude and frequency are not changing in a way that
prevents triggering. Use Line Trigger as the Sync Source if the Energy
Source is unpredictable.
The message ‘Energy
data questionable due to
high signal(s) during test’
shows after the Energy
Analysis completes.
There was an overload condition on the voltage signal or current signal
(or both signals) associated with the Energy Source. Autorange is
disabled during the Energy Analysis to prevent measurement
disruptions. Ensure that the hardware ranges chose for all channels
involved in the Analysis are chosen correctly.
Some instrument settings
cannot be changed during
datalogging and Energy
Analysis.
Changing most settings in the instrument resets the acquisition engine.
To keep measurements gapless during datalogging or Energy Analysis,
these settings are locked out. Configure these settings correctly before
starting a datalog or Energy Analysis.
