Cursors
Cursors are horizontal and vertical markers that indicate X- and Y-axis values on a waveform in
order to allow you to make custom measurements. Cursor information is displayed on the right
side of the screen. Cursors are not always limited to the visible display. If you pan or zoom until a
cursor is off screen, the cursor remains in its original location.
The cursor values are displayed near the softkeys, and the AX and
Δ
Y values and their reciprocals
are displayed in the sidebar on the right.
X and Y Cursors
X cursors are vertical dashed lines that measure in the horizontal domain. The X1 cursor is the
solid vertical line, and the X2 cursor is the dashed vertical line. When used with the FFT math
function as a source, the X cursors indicate frequency.
Y cursors are horizontal dashed lines that can measure signals or math functions along the
vertical axis. The Y1 cursor is the solid horizontal line and the Y2 cursor is the dashed horizontal
line. The Y cursors typically indicate values relative to the waveform's ground point, except in
FFT, where values are relative to 0 dB.
