22 Storing the wheelchair
Should it become necessary to store the wheelchair for a prolonged period of time, the following
steps should be taken in advance:
•
Check tyre pressure and reinflate to nominal pressure (2.5 bar) if necessary.
•
Charge batteries for 48 hours using the INVACARE charger.
For more information, see chapter 14.4.
•
Take out batteries.
•
Store batteries in a cool place, remove and store separately if necessary.
•
Before resuming operation, test again tire pressure (2.5 bar) and battery voltage (
Umin
=11.5
V) and re-inflate or charge as necessary.
