15.7 Disassembling rear light and direction indicator unit completely

Note
:
•
The rear light is provided with voltage via a positive cable (8) and the bulb holder (5).
The bulb holder (5) contacts the contact spring in the rear light housing.
The positive cable is pinched into the bulb socket using the slotted screw (6).
•
The direction indicator bulb is provided with voltage via a twin-wire cable. The wires
are soldered to the bulb socket.
15.7.1 Disassembly of the rear light
•
Loosen the slotted screw (1) up to the point where the rear light glass (2) can be detached.
•
Loosen the slotted screw (6) and pull positive cable (8) through the rubber grommet (7)
from the bulb socket.
•
Loosen hexagon nut (3) with spring washer completely and detach bulb holder (4) with
washers from the bulb holder (5).
15.7.2 Reassembly of the rear light
•
Reassembly takes place in the reverse order.
Note
:
•
During the assembly make sure that the spring washer be mounted under the
hexagon screw (3) since this guarantees a current-carrying connection.

•
Disassembly / assembly of the rear direction indicator unit must be carried out as
described in chapter 15.6.3 or chapter 15.6.4.
