14.3.1 Disassembly of battery unit
•
Remove battery unit from the vehicle
•
Loosen plug (19) from battery cover (22)
•
Loosen hexagon nuts (18) with washers (6)
•
Plastic rivets (26) can be opened for the disassembly by means of a 3.5 mm drill. They
cannot be removed without being destroyed.
•
Loosen carry strap Velcro strap (20)
•
Remove battery from battery cover (22)
•
Loosen internal hexagon nuts (18) with washers (6) from hexagon head screws (5)
•
Separate battery plate (11), distance tubes (15, 16), limit stop (17) and carrying strap (20)
from each other and remove battery (10)
•
The fuse strip (7) in the 40 Ah is directly mounted to the battery positive terminal and can be
replaced, after removing the battery terminal cap (21) by detaching the screw (7) from the
battery terminal plate (27).
•
Loosen terminal screw connections (3) and take out battery cables (1)
14.3.2 Reassembly of the battery unit
•
Reassembly takes place in the reverse order.
Caution
:
•
After the assembly, check once more all electrical connections for tight fitting (Fire
Hazard)!
•
Reattach the control cable to the main frame by means of new cable binders.
