13.2 Conversion of the vehicle from rear wheel to front wheel drive
13.2.1 Converting the standard vehicle(without lifter)
•
Take out batteries.
•
Remove seating unit.
See "Twister/Twister Junior" Operating Manual, chapter "Disassembling for Transport".
•
Detach chassis central covers and side covers. See chapter 12.2.
•
Remove both screws (2) from the seat angle
adjustment (1)
•
Unscrew manual seat adjustment (4), or actuator
motor respectively, and screw on again on opposite
side (always located in front in driving direction).
•
Unscrew the power module (3) and screw on again
on the opposite side. Always in the back in driving
direction.

•
Remove seat bearing (5). To do this, remove both
fixing screws (6) (right and left) from the main frame
aluminium section (Pos. 6 in chapter 12.4).
•
If existing, change lighting system lamps diagonally.
•
Loosen the clamping screws (Pos. 4 in chapter 12.4)
under the aluminium section.
•
Push the aluminium section (Pos. 6 in chapter 12.4)
to the front until the motor fixing screws (Pos. 9 +
10, chapter 12.4) are visible.
•
Remove motor screws.
•
Replace the anti-tip mechanism (Pos. 11 in chapter
12.4) with the spacers. See also chapter:12.6
•
Screw motors and anti-tip mechanism again to the
lower side of the frame tubes.
•
Lay cables in a way so that they cannot get pinched or rub against other parts, and fix anew
with cable binders.
Note
:
Pay attention to the wheelbase! A vehicle with front wheel drive is usually delivered with
its motors being in the front position.
•
Screw the seat bearing again to the opposite side.
•
Reinsert chassis central cover and side covers.
•
Insert batteries and mount seating unit.
•
Set-up the relevant software.
•
Check functions according to inspection schedule. See chapter 6.
