13.3 Retrofitting the lifter module to current safety standards
Note
:
The retrofitting, if not done yet, must be performed at the vehicle during the next repair
and maintenance works, at the latest.
These instructions describe the procedure of retrofitting to the current safety standard of a
vehicle with a lifter.
This includes:
•
Replacement of the lifter module's base plate (1) by a new base plate with cut-out.
•
Replacement of the power module's splash protection (see chapter12.2) by an improved
version of power module splash protection, with bent-off edges on both sides, which curve
under and/or over the power module fitted.
•
Replacement of the 4 fastening screws DIN 933 M8x20 (Pos. 2 in chapter 13.2.2) by 4
hexagon bolts DIN 933 M8x16).
•
Installation of 4 washers DIN 125 M5 at the splash protection fastening.
•
Fitting a spacer in the splash protection mentioned above.
•
Fitting a cable clip in the splash protection mentioned above.
•
Replacement of the cable at the adapter box. See chapter 5, Pos. 1.4 in spare parts
catalogue.
13.3.1 Instructions for retrofitting the lifter module:
•
Remove the lifter module from the vehicle.

:
The removal of the lifter module must be performed in accordance with the instructions
in chapter13.2.1
•
Loosen the 4 Torx screws (2) and unscrew
the old base plate (1) from the profile.
•
Unscrew the old base plate from the lifting
mechanism (1) by loosening the two Allen
screws (3).
•
Replace the old base plate with the new
one.
Note
:
The side with the cut-out must be
placed at the side of the lifter column
where the cable shaft is located.
•
Tighten the new base plate using the screws (2 and 3).
•
Position the lifter module in the centre of the chassis.
