Note: Before removing the control module, you must first remove all expansion
modules (if any) that are located above the control module.
1.
To remove the Control Module, perform one of the following procedures:
v “Removing a 5U Library (Control Module) from a Rack” on page 8-4
v
“Removing a Control Module from a Standalone or Rack-mounted Library
(14U or larger)” on page 8-5
2. If the control module's top cover plate is still in place, remove it now with a
Phillips screwdriver.
Optional: Using the T10 TORX screwdriver, remove the side cover panel on
the left side of the control module. Removing the side cover panel is
not required, but doing so makes it easier to remove the cable spool.
3. Remove the Y-axis/Picker assembly. (See “Removing the M2 Robot Assembly
from the Library” on page 8-67).
4.
Remove the Storage Columns on the left side of the control module (see
“Removing a Storage Column” on page 8-96).
5. Disconnect the Cable Spool Assembly connector (

in Figure 8-114 on page
8-103) from the J11 connector on the distribution board.
