Description
SERAIL
This parameter is the 8-digit, hexadecimal serial
number of the adapter
in double quotes. The SERIAL
parameter is required when multiple EtherJet adapters
are used in one computer. Serial parameter example:
SERIAL="89ABCDEF"
Note the double quotes.
The adapter serial number can be displayed by the
LANAID program. See “Finding the Adapter Serial
Number” on page 5-7.
Supporting Multiple Adapters with NDIS Drivers
When multiple adapters are installed in the same workstation, there
must be one DEVICE=C:\..path..\statement in the CONFIG.SYS file
for each EtherJet ISA Adapter in the workstation and one NDIS MAC
device driver section in PROTOCOL.INI for each adapter.
CONFIG.SYS:
For DOS:
DEVICE=C:\..path..\IBMEINDI.DOS
DEVICE=C:\..path..\IBMEINDI.DOS
For OS/2:
DEVICE=C:\..path..\IBMEINDI.OS2
