Chapter 2. Preparation and Installation
Checklist
Perform the following steps to prepare and install your new EtherJet
ISA Adapter.

Before beginning installation, be sure to check the
README files on the Device Driver diskette. These are
text files that can be viewed with any PC editor.

Verify that you have the items listed under Chapter 3,
“Package Contents.”

Verify that you have the correct cables listed under
“Cabling Requirements” on page 3-3.

Verify that your computer hardware and software meets
the requirements listed under “Hardware Requirements
for the Adapter” on page 3-4 and “Software
Requirements for the Adapter” on page 3-4.

Install the EtherJet ISA Adapter, following instructions
under Chapter 4, “Installing the Adapter.”

Configure the EtherJet ISA Adapter, following instructions
under Chapter 5, “Configuring the Adapter with LANAID.”
Note: Step 6 is not necessary for computers that are
enabled for Plug and Play.

Install the device drivers, following instructions under
Chapter 6, “Installing the Device Drivers for Your
Network Environment.”
For future reference, store these instructions with the instruction
manual supplied with your computer.
